THEISLinkedIn in THEIS publishes to a company page only, not to a personal profile. LinkedIn does not make personal profiles available through the API to anyone, so this is not our limitation.
We are waiting for approval. LinkedIn only opens up its publishing interface after a two-round approval that takes months. Until then the account cannot be connected. The feature is finished and waiting.
Procedure
- Settings → Publishing channels → for LinkedIn click Connect.
- Sign in with your LinkedIn account and confirm the permissions.
- Choose the company page that will be published to. Only the ones where you are administrator.
What to keep in mind
- Text length: 3 000 characters at most.
- More images: LinkedIn cannot do organic carousels — several photos are published as a multi-photo post, which is not the same thing.
- Video: is not sent through THEIS yet — when writing a post, choose Manually and you publish the video on LinkedIn yourself.
Connection validity
LinkedIn is the only network that does not allow tokens to be refreshed automatically. It is valid for 60 days and then you need to click in Publishing channels on Reconnect. If you are signed in to LinkedIn, it goes through without asking. THEIS warns you in advance when the expiry is approaching.
