THEISYouTube is connected using the official Google sign-in (OAuth) — THEIS never sees your password, it only gets permission to upload videos and read statistics.
Procedure
- In the application open Settings → Publishing channels.
- For YouTube click Connect YouTube account.
- Sign in with the Google account that manages the channel and confirm the permissions.
Brand channels (brand accounts): if the channel is listed as a „brand account", select it during sign-in in the „Choose an account or brand" step. You are connecting a specific channel, not the whole Google account.
What THEIS does with the permission
It uploads videos and Shorts, sets the title, description, labels and visibility exactly as you filled them in in THEIS — and downloads views, likes and comments into stats and the inbox.
When the connection expires
Google sometimes ends the validity of the permission (a password change, a security check). In Publishing channels the channel is marked as disconnected — just click Connect again. Scheduled posts are held until it is reconnected, nothing is lost.
