Connecting networks for the planner

Here you connect the network accounts that the planner then sends finished posts to. You will find it in Settings → Publishing channels and it is where you set YouTube, Instagram / Facebook a TikTok.

Connecting an account by signing in

Every network has its own card with a label on it Connected, or Not connected. Connecting is a matter of a few clicks:

  1. On the card click on Connect account.
  2. Confirm the prompt — a pop-up window with the sign-in to that network opens. If your browser blocks it, allow it and try again.
  3. Sign in with an account that really does manage the target channel or page and allow access.
  4. If the account has several Facebook pages, a selection appears Choose a page — choose the one to publish to. Instagram is filled in automatically if it is linked to the page.

Once the account is connected, the button changes to Reconnect — use it when the account changes or the sign-in stops being valid.

What if you want to disconnect the account

Below the connected account button is Disconnect. It deletes the sign-in to that network — scheduled publishing to it stops working until you connect it again. Nothing else is deleted, so once you reconnect everything still matches.

Where publishing itself is set up

This tab only deals with connecting accounts — there are no fields to fill in here. The visibility of the post (public, unlisted, private), the name, the description and the thumbnail are all set on the each publication separately in the window Publish / Schedule. That makes sense: you want to publish every post differently and one shared setting would never fit anyway.

Planner accounts and video production accounts are separate. If you also use event mode, its networks are connected separately in Settings → Event publishing channels — and there you pick at the top which event the channels are being set for.
